I wonder what people in 1984 would have thought if they’d known that that $7,700 computer—well, $2,495 in 1984 dollars—would someday exist as a keychain bauble created by hobbyists.

I love #technology for many reasons (and hate it, for many reasons) but one main reason I love it is because people evolve it in ways that are distinctly human: fun, impractical, weird. I don’t even know how many devices I’ve seen classic Mac OS running on at this point: hardware clones people designed, Android-powered gadgets running an emulator or something, you name it. So cool.
